Remember the TV show “Black Beauty,” with Peter Graves? I do. Perhaps that’s why I’m drawn to this ad. I also have two Black Beauty nameplates in my collection. You can see most of the plate in this ad. Also, notice that the chainring is a series of large BBs. The paintjob is deluxe. Note the stripe down the center of the rear fender outlined by red pinstripes. The pattern is repeated on the rims and it matches the triangular highlights on the frame. I also get a kick out of the fact that the tire tread reads “non skid.”
